The Background Info
I have to argue Angel, Mysterious, dark, deep and secretive, the love of Buffy's life. But can Slayer love vampire? Angel was changed by a gypsy family into a vampire with some human soul!
While relatively new to the world of acting, David Boreanaz has catapulted to stardom with his quiet intensity as the mysterious and tortured Angel on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."
A native of Philadelphia, Boreanaz was exposed to television at a young age - his father is a veteran weather forecaster for WPVI in Philadelphia. Since seeing the inspiring performance of Yul Brynner in "The King and I" at the young age of seven, Boreanaz had a feeling that acting would be in his future. After graduating from Ithaca College, he moved to Los Angeles to try his luck in Hollywood.
While studying the craft of acting, Borneanaz lived the life of a starving actor doing such jobs as parking cars, painting houses and handing out towels at a sports club. Yet, it was while walking his dog in a Hollywood neighborhood that a manager spotted his brooding, intense look and instantly signed him as a client.
His first big break was a guest shot on "Married...With Children" playing Kelly Bundy's (Christina Applegate) biker boyfriend. He has also appeared in the television movie "Men Don't Lie."
On Stage, Boreanaz has performed at the Ensemble Theater in "Hateful of Rain," at the Gardner Stage in "Italian-American Reconciliation" and "Fool for Love," and on theater row in "Cowboy Mouth." His feature film credits "Aspen Extreme," "Best of the Best 2" and "Eyes of the World."

In 1845, Boston shipyards were plagued by a series of grisly murders. The attacks ended when a quiet young woman arrived in town.
In 1893, in the Oklahoma Territory, a series of savage attacks claimed the lives of 17 homesteaders. The murders stopped when a young woman blacksmith passed through town.

One girl in all the world, a Chosen one, born with the strength and skill to hunt vampires and other deadly creatures, to find them where they gather and to stop the spread of their evil and the swell of their numbers. When one Slayer dies, the next is called and trained by the Watcher.
A Watcher serves by finding the next Slayer, leading her on her path. It is the destiny of the Watcher to guide the Slayer.

For untold eons, Demons walked the earth; made it their home -- their Hell. In time they (the demons) lost their purchase on this reality, and the way was made for the mortal animals. For Man. What remains of the Old Ones are vestiges: certain magic's, certain creatures"
And Vampires.
Buffy The vampire slayer is not showing at present on British terrestrial T.V. No explanation was given by BBC2 but it was said that it would return in the Autumn.
