The film is about the matrix and it says in promotional adverts 'nobody can tell you what the matrix is, You have to see it for yourself' which is totally true. I can tell you if you miss this film at the cinema you will regret it for the rest of your life. It is one of those films which the special effects are phenomenal and you need the big screen. But I can also say it is one of the very few Sci fi's that manages to get the effects whilst maintaining an original story line. Computer, Sci fi films have been around in abundance but this is the best of the lot maybe even the best film EVER. Story line: 5

2. Entrapment
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
  		This is a good film, not particularly special or original, It follows the story line of detectives and thief's, Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta Jones are both excellent actors and the story lines have some interesting twists in the tail. If you are a particular fan of action and adventure it well worth watching if not it is a film that you will not feel a waste of time but you will not be over enthused. Story line: 4

  		Based on Shakespeare's 'the taming of the shrew' and that is obvious throughout, lots of not so subtle hints e.g. people walking around quoting Shakespeare at the weirdest of times! I have to admit when my friends dragged me in to see it (cos I had a free ticket) I was dreading it. But I was pleasantly surprised, the story was interesting (modern Shakespeare!) The acting was reasonable but it was really really funny A good romantic comedy (and usually I say there is no such thing) Bad ending though, the really cool character falls in love and goes all soppy. Story line: 5

4. Star Wars

O.K. if you so if you haven't heard all about this one then you have been on planet zog (but I'm even sure they know about it's release) Nobody can criticize Star Wars for originality Lucas created a whole unknown world, places , characters, wars, and me being a massive fan ran straight to the cinema to watch this new film. But it was not as good as expected, special effects were excellent, but as for the characters they were very weak not very much development and story line had a few faults darth maul needed more scenes. etc. but go and watch it  Story line: 4

5. The Faculty
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
  		A film which is about the truth of teachers being Aliens can not be bad! This film although not possessing the best special effects or the most original story line (although quite good) manages to compete on the style factor , A soundtrack that rocks Offspring The Kids Aren't all right, being the best track, Really cool actors (mmm Josh Hartnett!) the whole cast wearing Tommy Hilfiger. It is a good film so well worth a watch Story line: 3

  		This film is along a very similar line a the matrix, although lower budget, no keanu Reeves and the story line isn't quite as good, It is a little more on the sick side and very thought provoking. I think is a good film, and I would recommend it but only to Sci-fi fans like me.

  		When I go out with friends we usually go to watch Romantic Comedies unless I have my own way! This was one that I really did not want to see and I think it was a waste of time and effort, The story line was boring and because of this the characters have no depth, Teenagers are getting really sick of people judging them on one level. Dawsons creek and the Faculty and many other films these days give more depth into the characters, for example the head cheerleader (american concept) has brains as well as looks and because of this the easy to make films like this will die out. It has some amusing moments but not enough to make me recommend it

8. The Thomas Crown Affair Having not seen the original I find it rather hard to judge this film. It was not something I particually understood, it got rave reviews i9n Empire (who's thoughts I usually agree with) but in reality it was not as exellent as I expected. No body can critisise the story line, it is very James Bond (maybe added with the fact that Pierce Brosnan plays the main character) It is individual, thought provoking and amusing. But I did not like the way in which it was played, purposely stunted dialogue made it difficult to become too involved with the fi9lms and the characters are not particually likeable. I would not go ouit of my way to ee this film.

9. Notting Hill I expected the film to be brilliant and it was! O.K a romantic comody with Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts could be either really good or really bad. But the acting was brilliant, the story line interesting, Very Very Funny! The British actors playing the friends of the main Characters made the film as brilliant as it is and the stylish location made tthe look of the film as beautiful as the script. Watch this film. It is the best romantic comedy I havre seen in ages.

10. Never Been Kissed From the title you can tell that I really did not want to watch this filmand I have to say it was a waste of time. A soppy romantic comedy with Drew Barrymore, a will she, will they? sort of theme badly built uo suspense, a not particually interesting storyline and not particually interesting characters. The teacher is gourgous but apart from that there is no reason to watch this film.

11. American Pie This film is the single most disgusting thing I have ever seen. Anyone with any sense will agree but it is one of those films that is so funny you are still laughing so much as you leave the cinema you can hardly walk. The story line if I tell it to you will totally stop you from seeing it, you will say 'total cheap teen flick' but it is definately worth going to see this and I promise that you will laugh as much as I did.
